ANGOLA, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - An Angola man is being treated for several injuries after crashing his pickup truck in Steuben County.

Police say 34 year old Andrew Clausen was checking a text message on his phone when his truck left Sycamore Beach Road and struck a utility pole near County Road 300 West around 6:30 last night. Alcohol was also reportedly a factor in the crash.

Clausen then jumped out of the truck and ran back to his home. He was later hospitalized with head and facial injuries.

Police will forward the case to the Steuben County Prosecutor's office for review for possible criminal charges.
