Police Searching For Suspect Using Counterfeit Money

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (21Alive) -- Area police are searching for a suspect that led them on a high-speed chase overnight.

Officers say the suspect was trying to use counterfeit $100 bills in Huntington County. Markle Police found the suspect and he quickly fled in a vehicle.

He sped off on I-69 towards Allen County to the Illinois Rd. exit before driving through a fence and into a pond at an apartment complex.

The suspect got away before police got to the scene.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.
