Police Investigating Infant Death

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating the death of a 3 month-old infant.

The Three Rivers Ambulance Authority was called to the 2800 block of Windrush Dr. around 3:45 Wednesday afternoon in response to an unresponsive infant. Paramedics arrived and transported the three-month-old to a local hospital where the infant was pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Allen County’s Coroner’s Office will release the infant’s identity along with the cause and manner of death.
