Police Cruiser Involved In Two-Car Accident (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind (21Alive) -- A Fort Wayne Police Cruiser collided with another car at the intersection of Wayne and Clay in downtown Fort Wayne.

The crash happened just before 9:15 a.m.. Witnesses at the scene told 21Alive news that both cars hit the control boxes for the intersection crossing lights, which caused the lights to stop working for a period of time.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital, there is currently no word on the driver's condition. There is no word on the condition of the police officer.

The cause of the accident has yet to be released.
