FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The parents of seven children that police found shivering in a cold van outside a Hallmark Inn were sentenced today.
Last month Marian Clark, 41, and Robert Boyko, 42,, pleaded guilty to seven counts of child neglect and today they were sentenced with probation and suspended prison time. Police found the seven children, ranging from a newborn to a 14-year-old, in the van back in January. Some of the children were actually zip tied to their seats. The parents will not be allowed contact with their children for up to 6 years. Although, it is being determined if the children will be allowed to be put up for adoption.
None of the children were wearing coats, some didn't have socks, and the newborn was only in a onesie. The children only had refrigerated bologna eat that was stored on a cat urine soaked motel room floor.
Tune in at 5 to hear comments from the brother of the children's mother that will probably surprise you.
