Paulding County, Ohio (incnow.tv) -- A man was reportedly shot by a police officer early Wednesday morning.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office issued a release Wednesday detailing the incident. According to the release deputies were dispatched to a residence on Township Rd. 95 just south of Rd. 60 on reports of a suicidal man with a gun.

Upon arrival, deputies found James Fleenor, 42, in the driveway of the home brandishing a firearm. He then barricaded himself within the home.

The release states that Fleenor had additional firearms at his disposal while barricaded in the house. After more than four hours of negotiations, the decision was made to enter the home and secure Fleenor.

Fleenor fired shots from a rifle at deputies before a member of the Tactical Entry Team returned fire striking Fleenor twice.

His condition has not been officially released.
