Wabash, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - 5-Hour Energy is still expanding its operations in Wabash, despite a current FDA investigation into the possible health effects of the energy shot.
Back in October, 5-Hour's parent company, Living Essentials, announced its intentions to build a new, $25 million facility and hire at least 60 new employees.
As of Monday, Wabash County Commissioners told us that they're still confident in the project and the company.
Wabash County Commissioner, Scott Givens said, "Good people, good to work with, very cooperative, can't ask for much better. We support them and look forward to their future expansion."
County commissioners say the facility will be used to make energy bars, not the energy shot liquids.
Upon the plant's completion in fall 2013 Living Essentials will become Wabash's largest employer.
