INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The man accused of shooting nine at an Indiana Black Expo in 2010 will not be given any criminal charges for his arrest last Wednesday.
Shamus Patton, 20, was found last Wednesday in a car with two other men after a police chase. The two other men had guns.
Patton was arrested on a preliminary charge of resisting arrest, but the Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said Monday morning that Patton will not face any criminal charges.
Patton was on a pass for a job interview at the time of the arrest and did not have to be back at the facility until 4 p.m. The arrest occurred at 3:15 p.m.
The chase occurred after Jamarr Edmond, 22, sped up when an officer had signaled him to pull over. Another passenger, Rakeem Lee, 18, jumped out of the vehicle and ran. All three were taken into custody.
