FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- Republican Marlin Stutzman retains a commanding lead over Democrat Tom Hayhurst in the 3rd District Congressional race, according to a survey of 400 likely voters in the Third District.

Libertarian candidate Scott Wise had 7% in the survey, with only 2 percent undecided.

The polling conducted by SurveyUSA on behalf of Indiana's NewsCenter and the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics was performed from October 21 through October 25th.

The contest for U.S. Senate pitting Republican Dan Coats and Democrat Brad Ellsworth has Coats with a 54% - 32% lead. This was from a sample of 1,600 likely voters in Indiana. Libertarian candidate Rebecca Sink-Burris has 7 percent. Only 3 percent of the likely voters said they had not yet made up their minds.

One question in our survey dealt with the Tea Party movement in America. 64% of the survey sample said they strongly agreed or agreed with the statement (is) "The Tea Party movement good for America?"

Indiana's NewsCenter will report results from another half-dozen polling questions in our broadcasts and online Wednesday.
