INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (21Alive) -- The National Rifle Association is kicking off their biggest convention of 2014 in Indianapolis this morning.
Activities began at the Indiana Convention Center this morning and will last until Sunday. An estimated 600 firearms will be on display, which will cover around 400,000 square feet.
Over 70,000 people are expected to attend this years convention but it could wind up being even more based off previous convention attendance numbers. Some major conservative politicians are also expected to show up, as the event serves as a great venue for politicians to rally support.
Protesters are also expected to show up as more than 100 mothers will be at the Indiana War Memorial on Saturday to march for tougher gun laws.
