Multiple Armed Robberies Reported Overnight In Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Fort Wayne Police Department is reporting several armed robberies, including two robberies of pedestrians and an armed robbery at a Dollar General.

Man Jumps From Bushes, DJ Robbed At Gunpoint

Sunday police say a man who was DJing a birthday party at the Craftsman Club, was headed to his vehicle to get equipment when a male wearing a ski mask jumped from some bushes and pulled a gun on the man. The robber told the DJ to face his vehicle and then proceeded to go through the victim's pockets.

The robber took the man's cell phone, wallet and cash. Then ran southwest and threw something into the bushes.

The victim described the suspect as 5'8" to 5'10" and approximately 185-200 lbs.

Masked Man Robs Dollar General, Demands Cigarettes

On Sunday at around 9 p.m. the Dollar General Store on N. Clinton was robbed at gunpoint. According to police, store employees say a black male came into the store with a black handgun and made them lay on the floor. He yelled "give me everything you got" and "don't look at me, get the money out". The employees say the robber went behind the register and began to get money out of the drawer. He also asked for Newport cigarettes and forced the employee to open the locked cigarette display. The employee told the suspect that they were low on that brand of cigarettes and she told police that she didn't believe he had taken any.

After the robber left, the employees found another man standing outside the store at the RedBox. The witness told her the suspect left in a white or gray Fort Taurus and headed south on Clinton. The witness did not stay to talk with police.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'7" to 5'8" tall, of medium build, possible in his early 20s, wearing gray Reebok shoes and a blue/gray zip up hoodie, black mask, black gloves and carrying a small knap sack.

Couple Robbed At Gunpoint In Driveway

Fort Wayne police are looking for three men who robbed an Asian couple that were going to their car behind their home on Sundale Dr.. According to the victims, they were going to get in their car in the driveway and saw three young black men wearing hoodies. The three men walked up to them and one of them pointed a handgun at the man. Another one of the robbers demanded money, the victim's wallet and keys.

The men then left, walking north on Waycross Dr.

The suspects are described as in their late teens, early 20s without facial hair, skinny build ranging in heights of about 5'8" to 6'.
