FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Coyote Creek Golf Club hosts the annual Mulligan’s for the Military Families charity golf outing.

Proceeds from the outing will benefit the Military Families Ministry of Associated Churches. The ministry provides assistance to local military families with loved ones deployed.

With more and more soldiers returning home, the ministry has also expanded to help with emergency housing, reintegration to civilian life and job placement.

“We raised over $30,000 for this event. Military families, how we help the soldiers and their families is through Christmas time, family adoptions, we hand out about 250 turkeys a year, we do counseling for soldiers who come home to reintegrate back into civilian life, we help find jobs for soldiers,” said Steve Staley, Associated Churches Director of Development.

Participants enjoyed 18 holes of golf followed by a dinner with prizes and awards for the play on the course.
