Missing Cat Returns Home After Five Years (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A cat that went missing five years ago has returned home thanks to an I.D. microchip.

Charlie, the cat, turned up at the Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control on Monday, April 20. Animal Care & Control officials routinely scan lost pets and a microchip on charlie identified Virginia Fryback as the owner.

Fryback said she was really grateful that her veterinarian convinced her to get a microchip for Charlie.
