INDIANA (www.incnow.tv) – Do you remember when there was a meningitis outbreak last fall due to tainted steroid injections sent to clinics across the state and nation?
The Indiana Attorney General's Office reached an agreement with the New England Compounding Center for voluntary revocation of its license in Indiana for seven years. The deal was approved by Indiana Board of Pharmacy. As of February 4th, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control identified ten deaths and 79 total cases of fungal meningitis in Indiana stemming from epidural steroid injections produced by NECC.
There have been 696 cases and 45 deaths across 20 states due to the meningitis.
