FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Mayor Tom Henry and officials with the Parks and Recreation Department unveiled their plan for moving the Anthony Wayne Statue from Freimann Square Wednesday morning.

The plan is to move the statue to the corner of Main and Clinton, off the grass, at the Courthouse Square by September.

The idea must first be voted on and passed y the Park Board Commissioners at their next meeting Aug. 15. The move would cost $75,000 dollars, which is reportedly in the Parks Department budget.

We will have more about this as after the press conference here on the website and on 21Alive at noon.
