Marion Stabbing Suspect Turns Himself In

MARION, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Marion Police Detectives have made an arrest in connection with the stabbing that occurred on July 30th outside of the Clark convenience store located at 38th and Western Avenue in Marion.

Officers were called to the store at 12:26 pm in reference to a disturbance that had just occurred there. During the disturbance Zachary L. Frieszell, 29, was cut multiple times by the suspect. Both Frieszell and suspect left the area prior to the police arriving. The victim was driven to Marion General Hospital and the suspect left in a vehicle occupied by one other person.

The suspect, Eric Rogers, 22, came to the Marion Police Department later in the day and was arrested and transported to the Grant County Jail.

Rogers has been charged with battery with a deadly weapon.
