Man in Critical Condition After Morning Crash

February 24, 2013 Updated Oct 25, 2013 at 3:56 PM EST

A Larwill man is in critical condition after he was ejected from his car during an early morning crash in Kosciusko County.

Police say Jeffery Reiff, 25, was heading east on State Road 14 when his car went off the road. Reiff overcorrected causing his car to skid into an embankment. The vehicle then went airborne and struck a utility pole, which caused it to roll over multiple times before coming to rest on its top.

Reiff, who was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, was thrown from the car. He was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The crash is still under investigation, but police say speed and alcohol may have been factors in this incident.
