CHURUBUSCO, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle accident with injuries Saturday evening.

Michael Dixon, 41, of Fort Wayne was operating an off-road vehicle on top of a steep embankment beside a pond on the property. Officials say Dixon was operating at a high speed and lost control of the off-road vehicle, causing it to roll down the embankment.

According to officials, he was thrown from the machine and suffered head and rib injuries. Dixon was taken to a local hospital.

Investigators remain on the scene to determine whether alcohol may have been a factor.
