Man On Tractor Tries To Evade Police In Slow Speed Chase

DECATUR, Ind. (21Alive) -- A wild slow speed tractor chase through Adams and Mercer Counties left nobody injured, according to the Mercer County Sheriff's Department.

Mercer County Central Dispatch received a call from Adams County around 8:34 p.m. Monday night requesting assistance in stopping a tractor. Adams County officials reported that a man was causing property damage with the tractor and even struck a police cruiser.

Deputies from Mercer County eventually deployed stop sticks, which caused the suspect to swerve at the officers and attempt to ram their vehicles. The tractor started have mechanical problems and came to a stop, which allowed officers to make an arrest.

The suspect was identified as Dustin D. Clouse, 20, of Decatur and has been charged with a felony for fleeing and eluding law enforcement personnell. He is currently being held at the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility.
