STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- A man from Mentone has been charged with a class A felony for child molestation.
The Steuben County Sheriff's Office was called to the Potawatomi Inn Pokagon State Park on Lake James about a child allegedly being molested in the hotel's bathroom.
Deputies on the scene were told that David John Elleneberger, 25, allegedly approached the 4-year-old victim while inside a restroom near the indoor swimming pool area. According to reports, adults within the hotel held Elleneberger until the authorities could arrive.
Elleneberger was taken to the Sheriff's Office and during formal interviews, he confessed to the molestation. The 4-year-old victim was vacationing with family away from their home state and did not know Elleneberger.
Arraignment occurred today at 1 p.m. in Magistrate Court and Elleneberger was charged with a class A felony charge of child molestation and was released from custody after the $100,000 bond was posted.
