NOBLE COUNTY, Ind (21Alive) -- Around 8:20 last night, Officers from the Indiana State Police Department, Noble County Sheriff's Department, and the Avilla Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash at 2885 South Noble County Road and 600 East.

When officers arrived they found a Dodge Dakota submerged in water with a man still inside. Emergency personnel removed Gerald Quinn from the vehicle and provided him with medical attention. However, he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation by the Indiana State Police indicates that the vehicle was traveling at high speed when it crossed the center line and went down an embankment. The vehicle rolled three times before resting on its top in a flooded area.
