County's 43rd Homicide Victim Identified (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – The Allen County Coroner has determined that the cause of death was gunshot wounds after a man was found dead in an alley.

Johnny Wiggins, 31, was found in an alley near the 3100 block of Central Drive just after 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. This has been declared the 43rd homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2013.

When police arrived, they found Wiggins lying on the ground. Police say he was unresponsive and appeared to had suffered some trauma.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The Allen County Coroner will determine the cause and manner of death. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Wiggins was formerly from Beloit, Wisconsin.
