Man Closes Eyes While Driving, Crashed Into Tree, Breaks Nose

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) -- An Thursday morning accident leaves a man in the hospital with a broken nose and abdominal pain.

According to police, Daniel Douglas, 35, is in the hospital after he closed his eyes for a short time while driving home from work and drifted across the road, into a ditch and struck a tree, falling on its passenger side.

The crash happened at CR 327 south of CR 68 a little before 9 a.m. Thursday.
