Steuben County, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A combative Ohio man attempts to grab an officer’s pistol from its holster during a traffic stop early Friday morning.

Angola City Police and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department say that around 3 a.m. Steven Lashaway, 22, began to verbally and physically resist the officers during the traffic stop on Harcourt Road.

Lashaway began to struggle with one of the officers and attempted to grab a Duputies gun. The other officer then shot Lashaway with a taser so that he could be taken into custody.

He was then transported to the Steuben Jail and booked for Resisting Law Enforcement, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Intoxication. Lashaway was the passenger in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.
