GRABILL, Ind. (21Alive) -- Fire crews from all over the area battled a massive fire at the "Cedar Creek Sawmill" in Grabill Wednesday morning.
County crews were dispatched to the scene along the 15000 block of Page Rd. at around 1:15a.m. One side of the building was engulfed in flames as they arrived. They say the flames then spread to some nearby propane tanks, which set off a series of explosions. Those explosions intensified the blaze, and crews were forced to play defense.
They called several department in for assistance. Those crews remained on the scene for several hours to put out any remaining hotspots.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause is still under investigation. The "Cedar Creek Sawmill" produces wood shipping palettes.
