FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The water main breaks on Getz and Illinois Roads have been fixed and all lanes are now open, according to City Utilities authorities.

Two separate water main breaks on the city's west side are restricting traffic in the Getz and Illinois Road area Saturday afternoon.

City Utilities crews are working to repair a 16'' main break in the 6300 block of Illinois and a second break in the 1600 block of Getz.

Westbound Illinois/SR14 is down to one lane of traffic from Getz to the I-69 ramp. The northbound lane of Getz will be closed during the repair period.

Residences and businesses in the area will experience an interruption of water services due to this situation. It is likely the repairs may not be made until tonight at the earliest.
