Toddler Dies After Being Hit By Car Backing Out Of Driveway
A 15-month-old girl has died after Fort Wayne police say she was hit by a car Wednesday night.
Officers say the toddler was hit around 7:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of S. Monroe Street by an extended family member, backing out of a driveway.
Female Jogger Sexually Assaulted On River Greenway
Tuesday between 5 and 6 p.m., a female jogger was sexually assaulted on the River Greenway in New Haven.
While jogging, the female approached a male who was walking towards her. The male displayed a knife and forced her into a nearby wooded area, where he attacked her.
Gas Prices Approaching All-Time High In Fort Wayne
Tuesday a gallon of regular gas was just shy of $4 a gallon. Most gas stations are $4.25, as of Wednesday evening, but some are as high as $4.29.
An expert with GasBuddy cites maintenance at an Illinois refinery as the source of the spike in price. Work at that refinery was expected to take 35 days but is now taking at least 40 days.
2 Injured When Motorcycle Crashed Into SUV
Two people were seriously injured in a crash between a motorcycle and SUV Wednesday night at Coliseum Boulevard & Crescent Avenue.
Police reports say the motorcycle, driven by the adult male victim and transporting the adult female victim, crashed into the back of an SUV that had stopped to yield to an emergency vehicle.
