INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (21Alive) -- Today, Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann announced the recipients of the 2014 Hoosier Hospitality awards.

Jim Hodgin from Science Central was on hand to receive the award at the Indiana State Fair today. The award is for outstanding contributions Indiana's tourism industry and representing "Hoosier Hospitality."

Science Central has been open since 1995 and has served as a fun interactive teaching center for the world of science.

“Without today’s recipients doing their jobs in such an outstanding way, our tourism efforts would be meaningless,” said Ellspermann. “These professionals and their Hoosier Hospitality are the heart and soul of the Indiana tourism industry.”

Cindy's Diner was also announced as one of the recipients of the award. The small 50s style diner has been a hot spot for those eating in downtown Fort Wayne.
