WATERLOO, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A DeKalb High School show choir is a finalist in the America's Favorite Show Choir contest and they need your vote.

Parade Magazine announced the contest in an article, Gotta Be Glee, which appeared in the publication earlier this month. After reader nominations, the magazine picked 25 finalists. Two show choirs from Indiana made that list including DeKalb High School’s Classic Connection from Waterloo, Indiana and Center Grove High School’s Sound System from Greenwood, Indiana near Indianapolis.

On Oct. 8, Parade announced the top 10 and DeKalb’s Classic Connection made the cut.

Voting runs through Tuesday, Oct. 12 at midnight Eastern Standard Time.

Classic Connection was crowned the Indiana State School Music Association Class B State Champion show choir in 2009 and 2010. Shelley Johnson, show choir director, has been the choral director at DeKalb for 26 years.

Tune in tonight on Indiana's NewsCenter at 6 to see Classic Connection in action. In the meantime, you can see the choir perform and vote by visiting Parade online. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, Oct. 13.
