Indiana and Vincennes Universities Named In Sexual Abuse Investigation

WASHINGTON, D.C. (21Alive) -- The U.S. Department of Education has named Indiana University and Vincennes University in a Title IX investigation of sexual abuse complaints.

53 other schools have also been named in the Title IX investigation. Title IX prohibits gender discrimination at schools and regulates how schools handle sexual violence.

The investigation will be looking into how the school handled sexual violence cases and how well they protected possible victims of sexual violence.
