FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Indiana has joined three other states and the federal government in suing Brown Mackie College.

The lawsuit claims the college illegally received financial aid on behalf of students who weren't eligible for it, and violated a federal law that bans giving college admissions employees incentives based on the number of students they enroll.

Brown Mackie has 27 campuses in Indiana, including one in Fort Wayne.

Florida, California and Illinois are also part of the lawsuit.
