Indiana State Health Commissioner Resigning

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Indiana State Health Commissioner has resigned after just a year and a half on the job.

William VanNess, M.D. announced his resignation today stating that he regretfully resigns for "strictly personal reasons."

His last day on the job is anticipated to be in early October and he says he will assist in finding a suitable replacement.
