Increasing Child Abuse Reports May Not Mean More Abuse

INDIANA (www.incnow.tv) -- The number of child abuse and neglect reports in the Hoosier state in on the increase.

According to the Indiana Department of child services, the number of reports increased by 15-percent.

An official with the department says even though the reports are up, that doesn't necessarily mean there's more abuse or neglect taking place, but people are becoming more aware and are stepping up to report suspected cases.
