Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Thursday afternoon students, faculty and visitors to IPFW were called to take a pledge against texting and driving.

IPFW’s Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) student chapter wanted to raise awareness in the community about the increasing problem of texting while driving. To help do that, a car that was totaled in an accident caused by texting and driving was put on display near the Walb Student Union.

Just before 2 p.m. the Fort Wayne Fire Department demonstrated the Jaws of Life on a simulated accident.
