HUNTINGTON, Ind. (21Alive) -- The public had an opportunity to voice their opinion on the possibility of wind turbines moving into Huntington County.

One could call the controversy a "battle" between residents who disagree over the plans for the incoming turbines. Last night, that battle got to take center stage at Huntington North High School. The public came out in full force on both sides of the issue last night at a public forum held by the Huntington planning commission.

Currently, an ordinance written 2009 says that wind turbines can't be placed within 1,000 ft. of homes. Those against the turbines wish to expand that, which would prevent turbines from being placed in Plum Tree in Huntington County.
