FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – A rally to find the missing Nigerian girls happened at the Allen County Courthouse greens Saturday morning.

Organizers say the purpose of the "Bring Back Our Girls Rally" is to show solidarity, raise awareness and pray for a safe return.

“What we want to do is draw attention. If we can draw attention to the plight of these girls and save them before they're sold that is our goal. We want to pray for them and for their families,” said Janet Mitchell, event co-coordinator.

The name of each girl was read in addition to singing of hymns, litany and prayer. Flowers and written letters from the event will be sent to Nigeria in support.
