Honor Flight Returns (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The "Honor Flight" that took over 70 veterans to Washington D.C. returned home last night.

Around 9:00, the veterans returned after a day long event that began with breakfast at the 122nd Fighter Wing, and then a day long trip to Washington D.C.. After the exciting trip to the nation's capital, the veterans returned home and received a hero's welcome.

One veteran said, "I never knew so many people that are here existed (that's good to know). It just goes to show you we live in a wonderful place."
