FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- A grocery store is planned for downtown Fort Wayne.

The Lamplight Inn, an assisted living facility in the former Holiday Inn building on the east side of downtown, will house a 6,500 square-foot grocery store. The store is slated to sell meat, diary products, alcohol and organic and locally-grown fruits and vegetables, along with toiletries and other items.

A $500,000 investment will renovate the existing space. Work on the store should begin in October.
