INDIANA (21Alive) -- Governor Mike Pence, with pen in hand, signed a piece of key legislation that would provide funding for pre-k education in the Hoosier state.
The five-county pilot program will use $10 million already allocated in the budget for family and social services administration. Private donations will also help fund the program.
The pilot program is designed to serve about 1,000 children from low income families.
