COLUMBIA CITY, Ind (www.incnow.tv) - A historical marker for native son and post-WWII Governor Ralph Gates was dedicated today on the Whitley County Courthouse lawn.
Gates was governor from 1945 to 1949 and led the charge for Indiana's post-war economic recovery.
State senator Jim Banks said honoring Gates in this way was long overdue.
