Get Rid Of Unwanted Documents At "Free Shred Day" (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- If you need to get rid of some unwanted documents or credit cards, there is an opportunity to have those materials shredded for free today.

The 3Rivers Northland Campus on 1615 Northland Ave. will be holding "Free Shred Day" from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. 3Rivers Federal Credit Union partnered with the Indiana State Police, The Better Business Bureau of Northeast Indiana, and Iron Mountain to put on the event. The event creates an opportunity to get important documents disposed of in secure manner. The service is a drive up service and the documents are immediately carted to Iron Mountain's shredding truck.

Officials say that "Free Shred Day" in march produced over 20,000 pounds of shredded material.
