FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Good news at the pump today as gas is 17 cents lower than a year ago, and the lowest for this time since 2010.

Data from GasBuddy shows that prices Sunday were 17.3 cents lower than one year ago and the national average for gasoline has dropped 10.3 cents in the last month.

"With Labor Day right around the corner, most Americans will be seeing the lowest prices of the summer," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan.

In 2010, gas prices for labor day weekend averaged $2.65/ gallon but GasBuddy says most places won't see sub-$3 gas price this year but prices will likely be the lowest since 2010.
