FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Local comic book stores are welcoming customers the opportunity to get specialty comic books for free. In total there will be 60 titles that will be available to choose from with no cost.

While conventions such as the San Diego Comic Con boasts a plethora of comic book related material, Free Comic Book Day is the biggest annual event for the comics industry reaching thousands of vendors and over one million readers nationwide.

FCBD is an opportunity for new and old readers to discover new titles and to see what local comic book shops have to offer.

Titles will be available for all ages to enjoy with such titles as Archie, Batman and Marvel's Guardian's of the Galaxy, which will have its own feature film released late this summer.
