FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Fort Wayne VA Hospital passed a national audit according to the Veterans Affairs Department.

The audit was done in light of a national scandal that placed VA Hospitals under a microscope around the country. The national audit found that 57,000 veterans have been waiting three or more months for appointments.

Fort Wayne had the only facility in the state that did not require additional review, according to the audit. Both Indianapolis and Danville VA Hospitals could not attain the 14 day target time for an appointment.
