Fort Wayne Urban League Membership Drive Begins (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Fort Wayne Urban League is kicking off its annual membership drive on June 23rd.

The Urban League is a non-profit agency that strives to create self-sufficiency for residents of Fort Wayne. The agency, established in 1920, provides employment, housing, education, and literacy programs.

The membership drive began at a press conference at the Fort Wayne Urban League Headquarters on S. Hanna Street.

Keith Mitchell, the membership coordinator says, "The programs that we offer at the Urban League continue to pave a path to success for countless residents and especially those who are most vulnerable," said Mitchell. "Success is easily attainable for all residents when we provide everyone with opportunity."

A single membership is $30 and a family membership is $50.
