FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) --- A Fort Wayne lawyer who ran the Boston Marathon on Monday was able to finish and get out of harm's way before multiple bombs detonated.

Thomas Trent, a partner at the law firm of Rothberg, Logan and Warsco, completed the course, and is safe and sound.

One of the other lawyers at the firm says Trent called home after he finished the race.

" And then he called in right after he had left, but prior to the explosions and I think the explosions occurred maybe 45 minutes after he finished, and so he had the good sense to call in and let us know he's okay, and we're very happy about that, and a lot of people have expressed concern, but he's doing fine," said Dennis Dykhuizen.

Trent's wife is also a partner at the same firm.

Trent is a long-time runner, but this was his first time to participate in the Boston Marathon.

Dykhuizen says his daughter, who lives in Boston, was a spectator at the event, but was about a mile from the scene of the blasts.
