KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) -- Five people have been arrested early Thursday morning on prostitution charges.
An investigation, that began in July, led officers with the Centralized Drug Enforcement of Kosciusko County to a raid at a Warsaw hotel Wednesday evening. Four people, allegedly involved in the promotion of prostitution, were arrested as a result of that raid.
Then officers executed search warrants at Stimmelator's Gentleman's Club and California Dreamin'. Officers found and seized "a substantial amount of synthetic drugs or synthetic drug lookalike substances" and a substantial amount of cash.
Officers also executed a search warrant for a semi-trailer that was parked behind Stimmelator's Gentleman's club and served an active felony warrant for the owner, Samuel Stimmel, 64, on preliminary charges of corrupt business influence.
Stimmel was subsequently charged with felony promoting prostitution during Thursday morning’s investigation. Below are the other four individuals that were arrested on preliminary felony charges of promoting prostitution and are being held on individual $5,000 bonds:
• Donn Lee Rupert, 51, South Bend
• Kimberly Kay Gill, 32, South Bend
• Kelly Joe Whitman, 23, South Bend
• Christine Marie Bennett, 27, Warsaw
Stimmel was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail but has since bonded on the original $100,000 bond.
