FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The first person arrested by the Fort Wayne Gang and Violent Crimes Unit was sentenced to 20 years in prison today.

Tramiel Jackson, 24, received the maximum 20 years in prison on an aggravated battery charge stemming from a February shooting on Decatur Rd. that injured two people. DeAndrew Moore and Devonte Jones were struck in a car to car shooting that Jackson played a role in.

Jackson pleaded guilty and in exchange an attempted murder charge was dropped. Police say Jackson is affiliated with one of Fort Wayne's prominent gangs.
