The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to the scene of a house fire at 2323 Florida Drive around 3:30 Saturday afternoon.

Officials say the firefighters made an aggressive interior attack on the first and second floors of the house. They had the blaze under control within 21 minutes. But the house did sustain heavy fire, smoke, and water damage.

An adult and two children, along with a pet, escaped before firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
