WARSAW, Ind. (21Alive) – Five families are left homeless following a fire in Kosciusko County.

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory officials say the fire broke out in the basement apartment of a multi-family residence on Arthur Street in Warsaw.

The fire was reported by a resident around 9 p.m. Friday. Four additional fire departments were called out to help contain the fire. Due to the need for additional fire hydrants, the north-south Norfolk Southern railroad tracks were shut down temporarily.

The American Red Cross has been called to help the families displaced by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
